Your Time Is Now

This is my tenth post on article writing. I haven’t written much in the last few weeks, but today I took time out of my demanding study schedule to engage in the most powerful and motivating topic of all time: “Your Time Is Now.”
In this article, I’ve chosen to discuss some of the benefits of using proper time management.
Time is the most essential, valuable source that some of us have taken for granted. Time is also the most mysterious force in the universe. Any of us who do not understand the value is the one who fails to create his/her own identity hence all individuals should dare to understand and value time in their lives to succeed at the most higher level. We may be wondering why time is considered so much to determine our daily activities, many of us also wondered how to bring time to our own control so here I am to point out the importance of why time is the most vital source to be taken care of.
Time management is the act of working and accomplishing effectively towards your life goals within a given period of time given. Effective time management means prioritizing the most important tasks according to the given schedule. Time management also means making the best use of time effectively as time is always considered to be a limited source for each individual.
The very first step to working effectively with time management is to ask yourself which project is worth investing time in as per your deadlines. It is mandatory to know which projects, tasks should be given the first priority in order to get it done and move accordingly from one to another.
Time management plays a large and important role in each of our lives not just in our professional lives but our personal lives too.
Time management includes:
- Accurately setting goals.
- Prioritize each goal wisely.
- Setting an appropriate time to bring your work to exact completion.
- Take the required break times in between your allocated tasks.
- Organizing yourself.
Accurately setting goals — When it comes to planning ahead with setting the right goals it is recommended to follow the SMART method this could be a useful formula to bring your goals right from your mind to the most clearer form also goals which are more Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely.
Prioritize each goal wisely — This is another point to be taken into account when performing an effective time management plan, this is to prioritize your tasks in terms of your deadlines given to each of them by breaking the list of activities into essential and non-essential tasks and successful plan ahead to which has to given the most and least time of your days and months. Example: The most important task should be given the most time whereas the rest can be given accordingly.
Setting an appropriate time — It’s totally up to you to take ownership of meeting deadlines and bringing your tasks to completion because you yourself know how long does it take to finish a given task hence ask yourself how much time needs to be allocated for a given task and for how many days. It is preferable to use tools such as your desktop calendar, to-do list, or any of your editable sheets to plan ahead.
Take the required break times in between your allocated tasks — It’s sometimes impossible for every one of us to stay focused and motivated until our full task completion hence it is preferable to take adequate enough breaks in between refresh yourself. Consider listening to your favorite music, reading a book offline, taking a short walk, or even taking a short nap.
Organize yourself — Avoid too much paperwork at your workstation. Put away unnecessary documentaries and replace the necessary documentaries with appropriate folders. It can save much of your time when searching for your documentaries. Also, plan ahead and utilize your calendar filled with important meetings, hangouts with who and which friends, or which hobby you would spend.
Benefits of Time Management
As discussed above time management is most important to consider because it helps us in various ways. Let us look into it further on what are the benefits of Time Management and how does it help us succeed.
- Helps achieve goals faster — Following a thorough and effective time management approach helps us achieve our goals faster because it is not a system that requires you to complete two or three things at the same time, but rather one task after another. As a result, you will become more disciplined and punctual.
- It helps you prioritize your work — As discussed above following the time management approach helps you plan and work accordingly also work and spend time on other activities in between and plan for the future.
- Get things done in less time — Setting aside time for a specific task allows you to focus more on it. You have a better chance of completing the assignment if you stick to the schedule. Consider working on a project. You will most likely forget to complete them if you do not set aside time to work on them. You can dedicate enough time to each task to meet your deadlines if you have a good time management plan.
- Reduce Stress — You may have seen that if you keep things without a clear strategy, you are more likely to become worried, and it may even worsen to the point where you are unable to get anything done. As a result, this technique helps you to minimize stress because you have a good strategy in place and are now able to complete several projects and activities without forgetting anything.
- Prevent you from procrastinating — Procrastinating is also a form that could lead you to stress, lack of focus, no satisfying results that you’d thought. Breaking your tasks into essential and non-essential will help you work eventually and get things done as soon as possible from one to one also enabling you to overcome any negative form to work.
- Boosts self-confidence and develops a good career opportunity — Managing a proper time management approach helps you to get things done on time also and learning this will always be beneficial in all through your career development for example if you get employed you are now capable of in becoming a dependable employee who consistently produces high-quality work on schedule. This raises your professional reputation, increasing your value as an employee and providing you with additional options to advance your career.
